Summary:

This simple book tells a story of Rosa and her friends trying to build a bridge at the beach. It’s positive, humorous, and shows persistence and failure with an optimistic lens that is perfect for modeling to readers.

This book is part of a STEM series in which our main character Rosa, a young girl of color, conducts different experiments. Easy to understand language with great STEM vocabulary (like “suspension bridge”) lends itself for architectural discussions and experiments of your own after reading. Rosa and her friends are kind to each other and work collaboratively to solve problems. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more in the series, and it’s a wonderful addition to any shelf!

This book was kindly sent by Publisher’s Spotlight, and published by Child’s Play. All opinions are my own!
