This is a super cute board book all about boats! This rhyming board book is all about different boats and water transportation, and it’s probably one of the most diverse board books I’ve ever read. The illustrations are bright and modern, a style which I personally love. I really enjoyed seeing all of the decorative and over the top boats people were traveling around in, and there’s even a friend to find on every page (an aspect I think very young readers will really enjoy as well).

It’s so important to have a diverse bookshelf, and I often get questions about the best board books for babies and toddlers. I believe overall we need books that entertain and then educate. But especially so, kids need books that they love which happen to be diverse without that being the main goal of the book itself. This book (and another one in the same series Go, Bikes, Go! which we’ll be posting soon!) fits that bill perfectly. It’s awesome to see so many BIPOC folx outdoors enjoying boating, and especially girls of color! If you have a little one that loves all things vehicular, they will love this board book.

This book was kindly sent to us by Sasquatch Books, but all opinions are my own!
