Summary:

I really like this book! It was designed for kids, but for kids who love plants. The book is organized in a clear concise way with beautiful illustrations. One of my favorite sections is the “Beginning Plant-Watching”section which helps develop observation skills in kids, giving helpful definitions and illustrations to help assist in identification. The Growing Zones map is nicely color-coded and having information by season helps to also develop the observation skills too, and what to expect when gardening.

Overall, this is an awesome book that isn’t too overwhelming but instead inspires a traipse through the woods with a magnifying glass. Plants All Around was sent to us by Kids Can Press, but all opinions are our own!
