Summary: This is a really cool book that folds out to 8 feet long! This unique perspective about what is underneath the ground we walk on everyday gives two perspectives- one of what’s under the ground of a cityscape, and the other what is under the ground of a more rural country area. These illustrations are incredibly detailed and the ability to foldout the entire book into one long illustration makes it easy to lay on the floor and study all of the tiny details that have been meticulously crafted. This book is a really cool addition to any geology unit reading lists!
About the Author & the Illustrator:
Charlotte Guillain says she doesn’t come from anywhere because she moved around a lot when she was growing up. She always wanted to be a writer and worked as a bookseller before training to teach English as a Foreign Language.
