Decide what type of books you want to photograph and review! Children's books, YA, grownup reads? You can even choose a genre within an age range, all of the above, or something entirely different!

Natural light is almost always going to produce the best results, but having an extra light source is handy on rainy days.

Capture a unique angle with your photo.  Check out some examples on the next couple of slide!

Try and find a unique perspective, both in your caption or in your photo!

If you're shooting a reel or short video as part of the review, I always use a tripod. This ensures it will be steady, and easier to edit later.

The books you use for reviews don't have to be bought new! You can use library books, the ones you already own, or borrow from friends.
